The Renault Alpine GTA (standing for Grand Tourisme Alpine) was produced between late 1984 and 1991. It was the first car launched by Alpine under full Renault ownership and effectively updated the design the A310 with modern design features like body-integrated bumpers and a triangular C pillar with large rear windshield. It used a rear-mounted V6 engine.
It was one of the most aerodynamic cars of its time with a world record 0.28 drag coefficient in its class.
